App Name: ShootersToolbox
Developer: Jesse Knott

1. Overview

ShootersToolbox is an offline-first mobile application for managing firearm inventory, ammunition and reloading data, range information, shot records, load development notes, ballistic information, accessories, and related shooting records.

This Privacy Policy explains what information ShootersToolbox collects, how that information is used, how it is stored, and what choices you have.

ShootersToolbox is designed to keep your data local on your device whenever practical.

2. Information You Enter Into the App

ShootersToolbox allows you to manually enter and store information such as:

  • Firearm and accessory inventory records
  • Ammunition and reloading component records
  • Load development data
  • Range cards and shot records
  • Chronograph data
  • Range information
  • Notes, photos, and related user-entered records
  • Ballistic setup information such as sight height, bullet dimensions, velocity, and environmental conditions

This information is stored locally on your device unless you choose to export, back up, share, or transfer it.

3. Local Storage

ShootersToolbox stores app data in a local database on your device.

The app does not automatically upload your inventory, load data, range records, shot records, notes, photos, or ballistic records to the developer’s servers.

If you choose to export, back up, share, or transfer your data using device features or third-party services, that exported data may be handled by the app, service, or location you choose, such as email, cloud storage, file managers, backup tools, or other applications. Those third-party services are governed by their own privacy policies.

4. Location and Weather Data

ShootersToolbox may include features that use location information to support range, weather, or environmental data features.

Location may be used to:

  • Associate a range or range card with a location
  • Retrieve weather or environmental data for a selected range or current location
  • Improve accuracy for range-day or ballistic records

ShootersToolbox only uses location features when you choose to use a feature that requires location or when you grant location permission through your device.

Location data may be sent to third-party weather or mapping services when needed to retrieve weather or environmental information. ShootersToolbox does not sell your location data.

You can control or revoke location permissions at any time through your device settings.

5. Photos, Files, and Imports

ShootersToolbox may allow you to attach photos, import CSV files, export records, or back up your local database.

Examples include:

  • Firearm or equipment photos
  • Target images
  • Chronograph CSV imports
  • Database backup/export files
  • Reports or generated files

Files you choose to import may be read by the app so the app can process and store the relevant data.

Files you choose to export or share are controlled by you. After export, the file may be handled by the destination app or service you select.

6. Information Collected Automatically

ShootersToolbox does not intentionally collect personal analytics, advertising identifiers, or tracking data for sale to third parties.

Depending on your device, operating system, app store, or crash-reporting configuration, some technical information may be handled by platform providers such as Google Play, Apple, Microsoft, or your device manufacturer. This may include crash logs, app installation information, purchase information, or basic device diagnostics, depending on your platform settings.

7. Advertising and Third-Party Tracking

ShootersToolbox does not currently use third-party advertising networks.

ShootersToolbox does not sell user data.

ShootersToolbox does not use your firearm inventory, load data, range records, shot records, location records, or reloading data for advertising profiling.

If advertising or optional monetization features are added in the future, this Privacy Policy will be updated before those features are used.

8. Data Sharing

ShootersToolbox does not share your locally stored app records with the developer unless you choose to send them.

Your data may leave your device only when:

  • You export, share, or back up your data
  • You send a file, bug report, screenshot, database, or other record to the developer for support
  • You use a feature that requires a third-party service, such as weather lookup or mapping/location services
  • The operating system, app store, or device platform processes information according to its own policies

9. User-Controlled Backup and Export

ShootersToolbox may include backup, export, import, or report-generation features.

You are responsible for protecting exported files, backup files, screenshots, reports, CSV files, and database copies after they leave the app.

Exported files may contain sensitive personal information, firearm inventory information, range information, or reloading data. Store and share exported files carefully.

10. Data Security

ShootersToolbox is designed to store data locally on your device. Reasonable care is taken to protect user data within the app’s normal operation.

However, no app, device, database, backup file, or transmission method can be guaranteed to be completely secure.

You can help protect your data by:

  • Using device lock screen security
  • Keeping your device updated
  • Avoiding untrusted backup locations
  • Being careful when exporting or sharing files
  • Deleting exported files you no longer need

11. Data Retention and Deletion

Data you enter into ShootersToolbox remains on your device until you delete it, uninstall the app, clear app data, restore/reset the device, or remove records using app features.

You may delete records inside the app where deletion features are provided.

You may also delete the app and its local data through your device settings. Exported or backed-up copies must be deleted separately from wherever you stored or shared them.

12. Children’s Privacy

ShootersToolbox is not directed to children under 13.

The app is intended for adult users and lawful firearm owners, reloaders, hunters, sport shooters, and similar users.

ShootersToolbox does not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided personal information through the app or related support channels, contact us at [Contact Email].

13. Sensitive Information

ShootersToolbox may allow users to store information that may be sensitive, including firearm inventory details, locations, equipment records, reloading data, and shooting activity notes.

This information is controlled by the user and is intended to remain local unless the user chooses to export, share, back up, or transmit it.

Use caution when storing, exporting, or sharing sensitive records.

14. Third-Party Services

ShootersToolbox may rely on third-party services or platforms for limited functions, such as:

  • App store distribution
  • Device permissions
  • Crash or diagnostic reporting provided by the platform
  • Weather lookup
  • Mapping or geolocation features
  • File sharing, backup, or cloud storage chosen by the user

Third-party services are governed by their own privacy policies.

15. Changes to This Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy may be updated from time to time.

When changes are made, the updated policy will be posted at [Website URL] with a new effective date.

If a future update materially changes how ShootersToolbox collects, uses, or shares data, the policy will be updated accordingly.
